Event policy
This policy applies to every meetup and introduction event run by our team. Please read it before you register. Event registration is strictly non-refundable.

Registering for an event
Each event page shows who the event is for, the date, venue, fee and how many family members may come along. You can register on the event page, or ask our team to register you. Some events ask us to approve each registration, and places may be limited for brides and grooms separately.
A place is held for you once you register, but it is confirmed only when we tell you so, which for a paid event means after we receive your payment. If an event is full you may be put on a waiting list, and we will tell you if a place becomes free.
Fees and payment
The fee for an event is shown on its page. Payment is not taken online. You pay by UPI or bank transfer after registering, or in cash or by other means at our office or, where the event allows walk-ins, at the venue. The fee shown includes taxes.
The fee at the venue may differ from the fee for registering in advance. The event page says which applies.
No refunds
Event registration is strictly non-refundable.
The reason is simple: on the basis of your registration, multiple members of our management team are deployed, and expenses are incurred to organise and manage the event. Those costs are committed as soon as people register, and they do not go away if one person does not come.
- The fee cannot be refunded or transferred to another person or another event if you cancel, change your mind, cannot attend, arrive late or leave early.
- It is also not refundable if you are not eligible for the event, or if we refuse entry or ask you to leave because of your conduct.
- The 24-hour refund window for membership plans in our refund policy does not apply to events.
If we cancel the event. If we cancel an event, or change its date or venue so that you cannot reasonably attend, we will tell you and either refund your fee in full or move your registration to the next event, as you prefer. Refunds are paid within 5 to 7 working days.
Attending
- Bring a photo ID. We may ask to see it, and to confirm that the person who registered is the person who attends.
- Only the people you registered may enter. Family members who come along are counted in your registration, up to the number the event allows.
- Arrive on time. Our team may check you in and begin introductions without waiting for latecomers.
- Details you give when you register are used only to organise the event, as described in our privacy policy.
Conduct at events
Events are for respectful introductions between families. Please follow our team’s instructions and our safety guidelines. Do not photograph, record or approach anyone without their permission, and do not share what you learn about other families, including anything you see on screen, outside the matrimonial purpose of the event.
We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves disrespectfully or breaks the terms of use, without a refund.
Profiles shown at events
At some events we show profiles on a screen so attendees can note down the ones they would like to know more about. Only a short summary is shown, such as name, age, education, profession and city, and never contact details or private documents. If you do not want your profile shown, tell our team when you register or at the desk.
